Fun stuff

As you may have noticed, I'm currently very much fan of ubuntu. I can often be found in the ubuntu help-channels #ubuntu and #ubuntu-nl.

Currently I am doing a thesis at the department of History at Wageningen University. Since I was allowed to bring my own laptop and do the research on it, I decided to try and do it completely with OSS. I installed ubuntu on the laptop and went to look for good GIS applications for linux. The database is postgis and the maps are drawn with QGIS.
