Welcome

As you may notice, this is a personal site. Hence the rather egocentric content. Just a bit of information about me, my 'work' and stuff I like. Since managing such a site the old fashioned way is such a cumbersome way, I will remove this site in a while and replace it with a wiki, which is much easier to update. So right now it is as boring as it was last year. But in the future it will be as boring as yesterday.

I have finished University and I'm now working at Geodan.

I technically I have studied a so called free programme, but I am more of a GIS student. I have done both a practical period and a thesis on 3D geovisualisation. Furthermore a thesis in history. It was on the impact off pillarisation on the dutch country side. I am investigating the spread of churches and primary schools in Gelderland (part of .nl) from 1840 until 1920.

Among the things I am involved now is the Linux distribution ubuntu. A wonderful brand of GNU/Linux, get the CD and give it a try. If you happen to speak dutch, join the dutch translation team.

Oh, and by the way, since I am running Linux nowadays it is a bit more difficult to get the site IE compatible. Especially since IE's CSS implementation leave a bit to be desired, to say the least. Either bug Microsoft for CSS-standard compatibility or install firefox if you want to view the site as it is intended.
